Happy New Year!

Hello everyone!  Hope you all had a fantastic time celebrating this holiday season!  Everyone here certainly did, and we're all excited for the new year. New year means new changes, and we're looking forward to some of ours.

Not the least of our favorite changes will be the website. We've had a place holder at the site while we've been behind the scenes working on the relaunch.  True, it's a little behind schedule because we've had a few technical difficulties, but it's almost done (FINALLY)!  The new website will have a more complete product line, including all the new styles from your favorite companies, as well as a more user friendly layout to navigate the site to find exactly what you need.

Of course, another one of our favorite changes is the new designs themselves.  Some companies have all new product lines to show off, while others added some polish to their existing lines.  Either way, there's something for everyone, and every vehicle!  Yes, even for a smart car.

We're excited to see our new commercial up and on the air, too!  Don't forget to tune in to your TV and catch it.  Not sure when it's playing, or where? Check out our previous posts!  If you still can't find it, or if the posted links don't work, send us a message!

And lastly, towards the end of January we'll be moving to a new location!  Don't worry, we'll be in the same plaza, just on the other side.  This new showroom will have more access to our website via our 'laptop bar,' as well as some exciting new displays for you to get up close with some of the hottest new rims designs.  The designer has been hard at work to make us look good for you, so don't worry, we'll let you know when our shiny new doors open!

Commercial is FINISHED!!

Hey everyone, great news! Our commercial is finished and available on YouTube for your viewing pleasure! The commercial itself was done by Hof 1 Productions, who do Florida on Wheels TV, and as I said before the music was recorded by Three 6 Mafia.  Keep your eyes on the CW and Beach channels (Beach is a FL local channel) to see our commercial air after December 15th!

New Styles on the Way & Other News

Well, we've got a whole pile of news for you guys today.

First and foremost, if you've visited the website since my last post (or two) and noticed it hasn't changed like I said it would...well...looks like there's just a couple more kinks to work out of the final design so it all works smoothly and efficiently.  Yeah, we were disappointed too when we heard it wasn't ready yet. So close!  We're confident we'll see it up and running in all its awesome glory before the end of the month.

Second, the final edit of the commercial is almost done!  As soon as we've seen it, I'll be posting a link for you all! (And yes... I know you're still waiting on the jingle...I haven't forgotten, just haven't been able to upload it yet. It's coming!)  It'll be hosted on Media Fire, which is free to join, so don't let that stop you from checking it out!

And lastly, after a few short discussions with various manufacturers, the beginning of December will bring with it more than just a Christmas-y feeling, but also the new 2013 rim styles!  Now THAT is something to be excited about.  So if you have a style in mind you like, make sure to find out from your sales representative whether or not it's still available, because this year's styles are going fast!

Changing Seasons, Changing Styles!

We are all very excited here at Rimz-U-Like.  Why?  Well, just as any other industry has changing styles, colors and designs, the same goes for rims!  Fall, and especially November, is our own special 'change of season,' when nearly every company that produces rims unveils their new product lines, retires old ones, and shows off their new styles.

This of course has its pros and cons when it comes to purchasing the right style of rims for your car.  You might find a design you like at a great price, but it could have been discontinued and no longer available.  It's always good to have more than one choice in mind just in case of such an event, g On the flip side, if it's still out there to purchase, you might be able to get it at a discounted rate, because distributors like to clear out their previous season's inventory to make room for the latest trends.  Then there's the excitement of checking out all the new products, designs, and styles!  That means that you can get the latest (and greatest) for your vehicle to have the most up-to-date look.

Our New 'Jingle' by Three 6 Mafia!

Hey everyone, remember that new commercial I was talking about?  Well, we're going to be having our official 'jingle' added to the commercial.  And who did our jingle for us? Well none other than Three 6 Mafia, the Academy-Award winning rap group originally from Memphis, TN!

I was hoping to post a preview of the jingle here in the blog for you to listen to, but it seems blogspot.com may not support it.  I'll keep trying, and hopefully we can have it posted on our shiny soon-to-be-relaunched website too!  So if you're looking for new rims, maybe a new sound system to hear more Three 6 Mafia, or even just a fan of the rap group itself, come check us out at www.rimzulike.com, and keep an eye out for our website revamp!

Update on Commercial Air Date/Channel

Alright, after much diligent pestering of my manager (love ya Jen!) I finally have more information on the commercial for you guys!  It will be airing starting December 1st, and will air for at least four weeks.  We know for sure one of the two channels it will be on is the CW Network (www.cwtv.com to find out more about whether your cable provider offers this channel), but we are still waiting to find out which other channel it'll be on.  We're all excited to see it, we're waiting on the final editing to be done and presented.

Also, for those who have been visiting our website and wondering what the deal is, fear not!  What you're actually looking at isn't the finished website yet, it's just a placeholder.  We have plans to launch a brand new site design by this Friday, if all goes well.  We've been having a few technical difficulties, I guess that's what happens when you are that awesome, you have to wait a little longer for results.  ^_^

We Filmed a Commercial!

Well, with all the excitement that's been going on in the last few days, I forgot to tell you guys--we got to film a commercial!  Okay, so for most people, maybe that's not the most exciting thing in the world. But it was pretty cool to me.

Florida On Wheels TV did all the actual footage last week, and now we're just waiting to see the final edit of the commercial.  It was filmed in our showroom and just outside.  We also had a local artist, Lawrence Gartel, who was in this year's recent Fireball Run as part of Team #8, come join us for the filming!  It was pretty exciting having both him and the film crew here.

Now, is that to say everything went off without a hitch? Well, no, not exactly, but that's part of what made it exciting and interesting! Even with a few last minute changes, the whole film team kept things running smoothly, and our own staff here in the showroom did a great job.

We've Updated Our Look

Well, after much trial and error, we finally got it--what do you think of our new look?

Yes, I know it's not super fancy and flashy like some blog pages, but let's face it--I'm a novice, and I appreciate Rimz-U-Like, Inc for even giving me a chance to get this started for them.  So there might be a few more tweaks and changes to the overall design, but I hope you, dear readers, are as happy with it as we are!

No, seriously--we would actually like to know what you think.  This blog is for you to get updates about our company and what we do.  Which means if you don't like it (can't read it, colors are hard on the eyes, the logo reminds you of when you were abducted by aliens...) we, and I especially, would like to fix it so you do want to come back and read my ramblings and info-dumps some more.  So please, send me your suggestions, comments, ideas--even photos of said alien abduction.

For that matter, even if you don't have anything to say about the new look, drop us a comment anyway!  If there's something you want to know about our company, or something you'd like to see an article about that relates to what we do, then let us know.  Blogs, as you know, require a steady stream of information, so the more relevant information I can post to entertain and educate you on our industry, the better.

And in case you're wondering why on Earth I chose orange and black (aside from the fact that it looks really cool), well just look at our shiny new banner!  The company logo represents what we strive to achieve:  high quality products and service at an affordable price for our consumers.  And by the way--if you know of a product line that you don't see on our website, just ask! Day One of Our Blog!

Welcome to day one of Rimz-U-Like, Inc's blog!

First and foremost, let us introduce ourselves.  We are a finance company for automobile accessories and repairs, whether it's a cosmetic make over, or a bare essentials needed re-work.  We also have a rims showroom in Lighthouse Point, Florida.  Essentially, Rimz-U-Like, Inc is a one-stop for any auto enthusiast!
